- There was gross negligence in special revision work
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh — In a stern move to ensure electoral integrity, the Bhopal Collector and District Election Officer has suspended two employees immediately for gross negligence in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work. The action sends a clear warning that laxity during this sensitive phase of the election process will not be tolerated.
Strict action on non-compliance
The disciplinary action targeted a Booth Level Officer (BLO) and a supervisor. Anantlal Mishra, the BLO for Polling Station No. 02, was suspended for failing to digitize a single count form on the official BLO App, despite repeated instructions. The order cited “extreme indifference” and “gross negligence” in his duties.
In a related action, Shubham Pratap Singh, the BLO Supervisor for Assembly Constituency No. 154, was also suspended. A review found that he failed to ensure the BLOs under his charge met the target of digitizing 100 count forms daily.
Authorities emphasized that the revision work is a crucial and primary stage of the election process, demanding full compliance and adherence to set timelines from all assigned personnel.
