= Students pay tributes paid to brave Sahibzadas
Bhopal: Veer Bal Diwas was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Shri Gayatri Mandir School, where around 140 students actively participated. The programme was jointly organised by Sangeeta Gochare, Vice President of Narendra Modi Vichar Manch Mission Navbharat, in the presence of Kailash Tiwari Paramatma Tritiya, President of the Sports, Arts and Cultural Cell of Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, Kailash Sharma highlighted the significance of Veer Bal Diwas. He said that while Children’s Day is traditionally observed on November 14, the Prime Minister appealed to commemorate December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas in memory of the young martyrs, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, aged just 9 and 7. The two were brutally executed for refusing to abandon their faith, a tragic incident that remains one of the darkest chapters in history.
Sangeeta Gochare urged everyone to remember the sacrifices of these brave children and to remain vigilant against forces that threaten humanity.
Earlier, Principal Sandhya Namazi welcomed the dignitaries with floral bouquets and a ceremonial tilak. Paramatma spoke about the spiritual importance of the tilak and administered a pledge to students and teachers to uphold Sanatan values.
Students later participated in a Rang Bharo competition, narrating the historical incident through art. Prizes were awarded to 11 winners. The event concluded with the chanting of Om Shanti.
