Teaser for iconic fashion sequel ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ released

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) The highly anticipated teaser for “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, has finally dropped, delighting fans worldwide.

A follow-up to the 2006 original, the sequel reunites much of the original cast for another dive into the glamorous, chaotic world of Runway magazine, nearly a decade later.

The 51-second teaser opens with Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly striding through hallways in her signature red pumps before entering an elevator in a chic black-and-white ensemble. Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs steps in, sporting her own stylish look and a sly grin.

“Took you long enough,” Miranda quips, playfully acknowledging the long wait fans endured. The teaser is perfectly set to Madonna’s iconic “Vogue.”

According to Variety, the sequel follows Miranda navigating her career in a rapidly evolving print journalism world. She soon faces her former assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), now a high-powered executive with whom Miranda seeks collaboration.

The original film, based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 bestseller, told the story of young New Yorker Andy (Hathaway), navigating the cutthroat world of fashion under Miranda’s rule.

Alongside Streep, Hathaway, and Blunt, Stanley Tucci returns, with new additions including Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, and Caleb Hearon.

Written by Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by David Frankel, the sequel promises fresh dynamics while retaining the charm of the first film. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is slated for release in theaters on May 1, 2026.
