Making travel easier: Bhopal Rail issues record concession cards for Divyangjan

Bhopal: The Bhopal Railway Division has reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating seamless travel for passengers with disabilities, issuing 916 Railway Disability Concession Cards so far this financial year (April 1 to November 11, 2025).

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, this drive aims to ensure that government benefits reach all eligible travelers. In October alone, the division issued 102 such concession cards.

The cards entitle passengers to fare discounts and, where necessary, permission to travel with an attendant at a concessional rate. This facility is available for both counter and e-tickets.

To obtain the concession card, eligible passengers must upload their documents—including a medical certificate from the District Medical Officer, Aadhar Card, and a certificate verifying the need for an attendant—on the dedicated website: https://divyangjanid.indianrail.gov.in.

The division assures that once issued, the card details are updated in the railway software, allowing passengers to access fare benefits simply by showing a photocopy of the card during booking. Travelers needing further assistance can contact the helpline at 9630951262.
