Tallinn, Nov. 12 (UNI) Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar paid an official visit to Estonia on Tuesday, during which he inaugurated Israel’s embassy in Tallinn.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus attended the opening ceremony.
He said the opening of the Israeli embassy marks a new stage in relations between the two countries, adding that he held discussions with the Israeli foreign minister on bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to Estonian Public Broadcasting, demonstrators gathered outside the embassy to express support for Palestine.
Estonia and Israel established diplomatic relations in 1992, and Estonia opened its embassy in Israel in 2009.
