Bhopal: Senior Congress leader and former Minister Sajjan Singh Verma has raised serious concerns regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision process, which began on October 27, 2025 after a gap of 22 years. According to the scheduled programme, training and preparatory work were to be completed by November 3, while Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were expected to conduct door-to-door distribution of individual voter information forms between November 4 and December 4.
However, Verma has alleged that in many areas BLOs have not reached households, and electoral forms have not been distributed as required. He further stated that the 2003 voter list, essential for verification, is also unavailable. Additionally, the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Madhya Pradesh, has reportedly remained non-functional for several days, causing further delays.
Verma questioned whether the Election Commission will extend the timeline to ensure every voter’s rights are protected, or allow what he termed as “a betrayal of the electorate”.
