5.6 magnitude quake hits 125 km east of Yamada, Japan: USGS

Beijing, Nov. 9 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted 125 km east of Yamada, Japan, at 2215 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 19.2 km, was initially determined to be at 39.49 degrees north latitude and 143.40 degrees east longitude.
