CM Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurates Advanced Cath Lab at Hamidia Hospital

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art Cath Lab Unit at Hamidia Hospital on Friday, promising a significant boost to cardiac care for residents of Bhopal and surrounding districts. The Chief Minister stated that the new facility would prove to be a “lifesaver” for heart patients, reinforcing Hamidia Hospital’s long-standing reputation as a symbol of service and protection. Dr. Yadav emphasized that the state government is working on a mission mode to expand and improve healthcare services across Madhya Pradesh.

= New hope for heart patients

The Cath Lab Unit, established at an approximate cost of ₹8 crore, will enable advanced diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of heart and blood vessel diseases directly at the Hamidia Hospital. This investment brings renewed hope to cardiac patients in the region by making sophisticated interventional cardiology procedures more accessible. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav toured the new unit after the inauguration, receiving a detailed briefing on its advanced capabilities from the attending medical specialists.

= Focus on strengthening health infrastructure

The inauguration was attended by Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Narendra Shivaji Patel, Hamidia Hospital Dean Dr. Kavita Singh, Superintendent Dr. Sunit Tandon, and a team of cardiologists, including Dr. Rajiv Gupta and Dr. R.S. Meena, along with technical and nursing staff. The establishment of this cutting-edge unit marks a significant step forward in the state’s efforts to strengthen public health infrastructure and ensure quality care is available to all citizens.
