Gold worth Rs 25 lakh stolen from house of NGO officer

Bhopal: Gold worth Rs 25 lakh has been stolen from the home of an NGO associate director living in Kamla Nagar area. Two months ago, her mother had given her two gold biscuits as her share, which she had kept in a locker in her bedroom cupboard.

She filed a complaint with the police station. After a lengthy investigation, the Kamla Nagar police registered an FIR on Thursday. Based on suspicion, three maids working at the complainant’s home have been detained and are being questioned.

Ti Nirupa Pandey stated that Nirvata Raghuvanshi lives in Gomti Colony and works as an associate director at an NGO. Two months ago, her mother had given her two gold biscuits worth Rs 25 lakh as her share of ancestral property. She had kept them in a locker in her cupboard. A day before Diwali, she checked the biscuits and wanted to use them to make jewelry.

Names of three maids were listed as suspects

When the biscuits were not found where they were kept, she filed a complaint at the police station. She named her three domestic helpers as suspects. The police have listed all three as suspects in the FIR. The police say they will soon resolve the matter.
