Bhopal : On Friday, November 7, at 8:30 AM, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the ‘Vande Mataram’ 150th Commemoration Festival’ at Shaurya Smarak, marking the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. The event will commence with a marathon from Shaurya Smarak at 8:30 a.m., followed by the main programme featuring patriotic performances by the police band. Entry to all activities will be free for the public.
During the event, a live broadcast of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address from New Delhi will be screened, followed by a collective rendition of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ by 150 artists. Additionally, an exhibition will be organised at the venue, showcasing pictures related to ‘Vande Mataram’ and the freedom movement.
The Government of India has decided to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the national song with ceremonial programs across the country from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026.
