India A squad announced for Rising Stars Asia Cup

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) The Senior Men’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the Asian Cricket Council’s Rising Stars Asia Cup, scheduled to be held from November 14 to 23 at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.

Jitesh Sharma has been named captain of the squad, with Naman Dhir as vice-captain.

The 15-member squad also includes Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh, Harsh Dubey, Ashutosh Sharma, Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vyshak, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Abhisek Porel, and Suyash Sharma.

Abhisek Porel and Jitesh will also serve as wicketkeepers.

Stand-by players for the tournament are Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, and Shaik Rasheed.

India A has been placed in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A. The team will open its campaign against UAE on November 14, followed by a clash with Pakistan A on November 16, and will conclude the group stage against Oman on November 18. The semifinals are scheduled for November 21, with the final set for November 23.

The announcement was made official by Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI.
