Bhopal’s youth drowns in Thailand

Bhopal: On October 23, a group of employees from a medical equipment company in Bhopal traveled to Thailand for a trip that included five to six young individuals, among whom were two from Bhopal. Tragically, one of the youths, Ankit Sahu, drowned in the sea while in Phuket.

Ankit, a resident of Bhopal and an employee at BL Life Sciences Company, drowned in strong waves, while his friend Nikesh was rescued safely by a rescue team. Bhargava, a local representative, shared the news on Facebook, expressing condolences to the family of Chandrakant Sahu, a relative of Ankit.

Upon receiving the heartbreaking news, Bhargava contacted the Chief Minister’s Office to address the situation. He emphasized the family’s distress and requested expedited arrangements for bringing Ankit’s body back to India. With the assistance of the Thai and Indian embassies, the body is expected to arrive in Bhopal on Friday.

Bhargava said that ACS Neeraj Mandloi of the Chief Minister’s Office coordinated with embassy officials to ensure a smooth process. The post-mortem is scheduled for Friday, and all arrangements have been made to return Ankit Sahu’s body to his family by November 1st. The prompt response from administrative officials during this challenging time was commendable.
