Bhopal: Senior Congress spokesperson Ravi Saxena has criticised BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma for his recent remarks, saying that such “irresponsible and baseless statements” only expose the inefficiency and incompetence of his own government. Saxena said that the state administration already possesses complete information about all those attending the annual Ijtema. “If there are any security concerns, what is the intelligence department doing?” he asked.
He alleged that Sharma’s comments are part of a deliberate agenda to create fear and disturb communal harmony. “The reality is that this is an attempt to spread mistrust and damage the spirit of unity,” Saxena added.
He further stated that the Ijtema in Bhopal has been conducted peacefully for many years, with devotees gathering in an atmosphere of love, harmony, and devotion. “People come together to pray and offer blessings, not to divide communities,” Saxena concluded.
