‘Bullock carts instead of ambulances’: Akhilesh Yadav slams UP Govt over healthcare, economy

New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav delivered a sharp critique of the Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party government today, alleging that the state’s public health infrastructure has crumbled.

Yadav said the healthcare system under the current administration has seen a severe decline in service delivery.

“The BJP’s misrule has turned ambulances into ‘bullock carts’. In UP, bullock carts are running instead of ambulances,” the SP chief stated in a pointed message shared on his WhatsApp channel. Extending his criticism to the economic front, Yadav questioned the government’s ambitions, suggesting its inability to manage basic services contradicts its grand economic goals. “Will a bullock cart pull a trillion-dollar economy?” he asked.

Targeting the Chief Minister, the SP leader and ex Chief Minister urged better oversight of critical infrastructure. “Next time, when the CM goes out to inspect crops, please also take a look at the condition of roads and ambulances. If it’s not visible, use binoculars or drones for good use,” he advised.

Yadav also called upon the state’s Health Minister to be more responsive to public distress.
