- Suicide suspected
Bhopal: Ratibad police have recovered the body of a software engineer from Kerwa Dam. He had gone missing from a hotel in Kolar a day earlier. Prior to this, he had sent a message to his brother in Gwalior, saying he was going to commit suicide.
He also sent his mobile phone and ATM passwords, along with on-banking apps, to his brother. His brother, who arrived in Bhopal, filed a missing person report at the Kolar police station.
On Saturday afternoon, Ratibad police recovered a body from the water and informed all police stations in the city. Following this information, the Kolar police had the body identified by his brother.
Deceased was a resident of Lashkar, Gwalior
According to police, Harsh Tiwari (24), a resident of Lashkar, Gwalior, was working in software development in Bengaluru. He left Bengaluru for Gwalior by train on October 21st. He came to Bhopal two days ago instead of going to Gwalior. He was staying at Hotel Pride in Kolar.
On October 23, he messaged his brother in Gwalior, telling about suicide. His brother, who arrived in Bhopal, filed a missing person report at the Kolar police station on Saturday, as he had last messaged from his hotel room.
Police are considering Harsh’s death a suicide case in the initial investigation. However, no suicide note has been found, so the police are investigating the case from every angle.
Ratibad police say that since the missing person report was filed at the Kolar police station, the Kolar police will conduct the further inquiry. The diary is being handed over to the Kolar police.
