Sushil Kumar calls for eco-friendly celebrations to protect health and nature

Bhopal: Sushil Kumar, President of the Paryavaran Sanrakshan evam Manav Kalyan Trust, has been engaging with children at various educational institutions and social organizations to emphasize the importance of celebrating Diwali in a way that promotes happiness, prosperity, and environmental conservation. Although the festival of Diwali, is over the recent incidents of rising pollution and damage to children’s eyes are concerning. So it is necessary to raise awareness among children to prevent such incidents in future.

Sushil Kumar said that with the recent surge in pollution and the alarming rise in eye injuries caused by firecrackers, he stressed the need for greater awareness among children to prevent such issues in the future.

Highlighting that Diwali is a time to express gratitude to animals, birds, and nature, Kumar explained the harmful effects of firecrackers, which release toxic fumes and pollutants, contributing to air, water, noise, and soil pollution. He also pointed out the health risks posed to both humans and animals, urging people to focus on helping the underprivileged and planting trees to preserve biodiversity during the festive season.
