Bhopal, Oct 25: The All India BHEL Inter-unit Shooting Ball Championship 2025 commenced today at the BHEL Sports Complex, Bhopal, amid great enthusiasm. P. K. Upadhyay, General Manager and Unit Head, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Vipul Agrawal, General Manager (MM) and President of BHEL Sports Authority;i T. U. Singh, General Manager (HR); several other General Managers; Union representatives; and a large gathering of sports enthusiasts and employees.
A total of eight teams representing Haridwar, Jhansi, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Ranipet and Thirumayam are participating in this year’s championship.
In his address, Upadhyay extended a warm welcome to all participants, encouraging them to uphold the spirit of teamwork and continue bringing laurels to the organisation through sports, as they have in the past.
Vipul Agrawal conveyed his best wishes to the teams for a successful and competitive tournament, while T. U. Singh briefed the gathering on the arrangements made for the players and expressed hope for an event marked by discipline and sportsmanship.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by V. S. Chouhan, AGM, BHEL Sports Authority. The tournament promises to showcase the sporting talent and camaraderie among BHEL units across the country.
