Jennifer Fox to produce the 2025 Governors Awards for the seventh time

Los Angeles, Oct 15 (UNI) Acclaimed Oscar-nominated producer Jennifer Fox will once again take the reins of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2025 Governors Awards, Academy president Lynette Howell Taylor confirmed today.

This marks Fox’s seventh consecutive tenure at the helm of the prestigious gala, following her stewardship of the 10th through 15th editions, a testament to her impeccable craftsmanship and cinematic sensibility, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

At the event, which will take place in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on Sunday, four Hollywood luminaries will be celebrated: Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise and Wynn Thomas will receive honorary awards, and Dolly Parton will receive — remotely, from Nashville — the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

“Jennifer’s expertise in producing the Governors Awards is unmatched,” Howell Taylor said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome her back to kick off our 98th Oscars events with a celebration of four truly remarkable honorees.”

Added Fox, “It’s always an honour to produce this joyous and esteemed Academy event. I’m looking forward to helping pay tribute to the incredible achievements of Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise, Dolly Parton and Wynn Thomas.”

Fox began her career in development and production at Universal Pictures, where she worked on several films, including Erin Brockovich. She then spent the next six years producing with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney’s production company, Section Eight, on such acclaimed titles as Syriana; Good Night, and Good Luck; The Informant!; and A Scanner Darkly.

Her other film credits include Duplicity; The Bourne Legacy; We Need to Talk about Kevin; Nightcrawler; Roman J. Israel, Esq.; Velvet Buzzsaw; The Report and The Last Duel.
