EOW Raids Uncover Assistant Manager of Cooperative Society

‘King of Wealth’ Sushil Kumar Gupta Busted in Katni

Jabalpur – Sushil Kumar Gupta, Assistant Manager of the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society in Basadi, Katni district, was exposed as a ‘king of wealth’ during a massive raid by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Jabalpur. Simultaneous raids were conducted on his residence in Basadi, as well as his flour mill, paddy mill, oil mill, and farmhouse in Banheri.

Multi-Crore Disproportionate Assets Exposed

The surprise operation caused a sensation in the locality. So far, the EOW has uncovered disproportionate assets totalling Rs 2,69,14,405, a figure expected to rise as investigations continue into bank accounts and property documents seized from his premises. The EOW had registered a case after verifying a complaint that Gupta had amassed millions through corruption.

Raids Unearth Mills, Farmhouse, and Vehicles

Three EOW teams conducted the coordinated raids on Tuesday. The recovered assets include a house valued at Rs 11.18 lakh, a farmhouse worth Rs 29.56 lakh, and a rice and oil mill inventoried at Rs 8.39 lakh. Most notably, a large warehouse in Basadi with an estimated cost of Rs 2.20 crore was discovered. The teams also seized two motorcycles, a Sonalika tractor, a Bolero pickup, and various agricultural equipment.
