St. Joseph’s Convent Idgah Hills Celebrates Grandparents Day: A Tribute to Timeless Wisdom

Bhopal: St. Joseph’s Convent School, Idgah Hills, celebrated Grandparents Day on October 14, 2025, with an enthusiastic display of affection. Class V students greeted their special guests—the grandparents—with cheerful shouts and gentle hugs. The event held under the theme ‘Timeless Wisdom, Endless Love,’ featured elaborate preparations and aimed to honor the profound bond between the generations.

Inspiration from the Chief Guest: The program was graced by Chief Guest Dr. C. B. Sahu, a retired surgeon known for providing free medical service to the needy. After the ceremonial lamp lighting and a prayer dance, the Class V choir presented a scintillating welcome song. The performances, including the skit ‘Anmol Rishtey, Sunehre Pal’ and a vibrant cultural fusion dance, beautifully staged the beauty and duty of familial relationships.

The Doctor’s Prescription for the Future: In his address, Dr. Sahu insisted that life must be about contributing to society, not just the self. As a doctor, he urged grandparents and parents to focus on raising a generation that is physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. He specifically stressed the need for good nutrition, increased physical activities, and awareness about media consumption to prepare children for the future.

Mementos and Enduring Bonds: The celebration culminated in a moving finale item based on the theme ‘Timeless Wisdom, Endless Love.’ Primary Headmistress Sr. Stania offered the vote of thanks. The school presented mementoes to all the special guests, ensuring the grandparents departed with indelible memories of the love and gratitude shown by their grandchildren.
