Focus on Grassroots Strength and Poverty Alleviation
Bhopal’s BJP State President, Hemant Khandelwal, convened a crucial meeting with National General Secretary Arun Singh today, focusing on galvanizing the party machinery for the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Self-Reliant India Resolution Campaign). Khandelwal urged District Presidents to build “strong and fully active teams,” emphasizing the need for every worker to be engaged, particularly with upcoming elections. He warned against relying on just a few workers, stressing that an entirely active team is essential for successfully executing party programs.
Antyodaya is the Key to Self-Reliance, Says Arun Singh
National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP, Arun Singh, underscored that the core of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ lies in realizing the ‘Antyodaya’ principle—uplifting the poorest of the poor. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in ensuring better education, healthcare, and an improved standard of living for those at the last mile. Singh cited the evidence of 25 crore people rising above the poverty line as proof of the mission’s success, stating, “India cannot be self-reliant without making the poor self-reliant.”
BJP Slams Congress’s Economic Legacy
Responding to opposition criticism, State President Khandelwal launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, claiming their foundational economic policies “damaged the country’s economy” and structure. He contrasted the current scenario with the past, noting India’s rapid ascent from the 11th largest global economy after PM Modi took office. Khandelwal asserted that the country is still “paying the price for Congress’s policies” and that the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign is necessary to strengthen the nation’s economic resilience and reduce import dependency.
