At least 14 killed in mine collapse in Venezuela

Caracas, Oct. 14 (UNI) At least 14 people were killed Monday after a vertical gold mine collapsed in the Bolivar state, southeastern Venezuela, the National Risk Management System reported.

The accident occurred in the town of El Callao, Roscio municipality, after heavy rains caused flooding that weakened the mine’s structure, leading to its collapse.
