Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari inaugurated the newly established District Congress Committee office in Shivpuri on Sunday, in the presence of senior party leaders and workers. The new office, dedicated to dialogue and organisational activities, was described as a “centre of renewed energy and commitment” by party members.
Later, in village Awan, Patwari reviewed the progress of the Congress-led “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” signature campaign. Interacting with local workers and villagers, he said, “This campaign is for the protection of people’s voting rights and democracy. The Congress is committed to amplifying the people’s voice at every level.”
Patwari also participated in the district-level Kisan Nyay Yatra alongside former minister Jayvardhan Singh and Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Singh. The three leaders met farmers, listened to their grievances and discussed their demands.
“The Congress will fight with full strength for the farmers’ rights, dignity, and fair dues,” Patwari declared. “The BJP government has given farmers nothing but debt, drought and false promises. Now, the call for justice will reach every field and every home.”
Several senior leaders, including MLAs Phoolsingh Baraiya, Pankaj Upadhyay, Babu Jandel, Haribabu Rai, Mukesh Malhotra, Sahib Singh Gurjar, Kailash Kushwaha, Kisan Congress State President Dharmendra Singh Chauhan, State General Secretary Rao Yadvendra, District President Mohit Agrawal, former MLA Pragilal Jatav, and Ganesh Gautam, were also present at the event.
