Significant change in Day-Night Temperatures
Bhopal, October 11: Madhya Pradesh is witnessing the gradual retreat of the monsoon season, with a notable shift in weather patterns. Since the beginning of October, a distinct difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures has been observed, bringing a light chill to many parts of the state during the evenings. However, isolated rainfall persists in select regions.
Rain Forecast for Several Districts
The Meteorological Department forecasts that several eastern districts, including Singrauli, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Mandla, and Balaghat, may experience light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning today. Additionally, scattered showers are possible across a large swathe of the state, covering Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, and dozens of other districts.
Temperature Drops Signal End of Rains
The transition is confirmed by local temperature changes. Over the last 24 hours, districts under the Jabalpur division recorded a temperature drop of up to 2.2∘C. Meanwhile, conditions remain favorable for the complete withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon. The withdrawal line is currently passing through Akola and Jabalpur, with systems expected to retreat completely from the remaining parts of MP, Maharashtra, and neighboring states over the next two to three days.
