Tribal Welfare is State’s Top Priority
Dhar, October 11: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav affirmed that the comprehensive welfare of the tribal community is the state government’s highest priority, striving to ensure that no individual is deprived of government scheme benefits. Calling the Bhilala community courageous and culturally enriched, he praised them for initiating a social awakening. Dr. Yadav highlighted that, with the blessing of Maa Narmada, the community has resolved to eradicate social evils like addiction and the practice of Mrityubhoj (post-death feast).
Annual Social Summit Promotes Awareness
The Chief Minister was addressing the 12th Provincial Annual Social Convention, organized by the Jai Omkar Adivasi Bhilala Samaj Organization at the Dhar Fort ground. After lighting the ceremonial lamp, Dr. Yadav noted that the convention hosted various social awareness initiatives, including a matrimonial introduction session for young men and women, employment registration, health check-up camps, de-addiction awareness, and career guidance sessions. During the visit, he also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Pithampur (Bagdoon) Police Station.
Remembering Tribal Heroes and Contributions
Dr. Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with enhancing the community’s pride by including a dynamic Bhilala woman leader in the Union Cabinet. He detailed state government efforts, such as renaming Alirajpur to Alirajpur and establishing a university in the name of Krantisurya Tantya Mama (a renowned tribal freedom fighter). He further acknowledged the Bhilala community’s invaluable contributions to the freedom struggle and national defence. The Chief Minister was joined by Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur and other dignitaries.
