Bhopal: A crucial meeting of district and assembly in-charges was held today at the Madhya Pradesh Congress office in Bhopal. The discussions centred on strengthening organisational strategy and finalising the action plan for the nationwide movement and signature campaign titled “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” (Leave the Chair, Vote Thief).

Addressing the gathering, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari stated that Congress workers are firmly committed to defending democracy. “The ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ campaign represents the voice of the people and will evolve into a nationwide movement. Every Congress worker will take this message to the public at every district and booth level,” he said. Patwari emphasised the need to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level, maintain active communication among party workers, and intensify struggles on issues affecting the public.

State in-charge Harish Chaudhary, speaking virtually via Zoom, urged the members to view the campaign as more than a political movement. “This is a battle to safeguard the soul of democracy. Every Congress worker must take responsibility for reaching every citizen with this campaign,” he said.

The meeting was also attended by former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, former Union Minister Kantilal Bhuria, state co-in-charge Sanjay Dutt, Ranvijay Singh Lochav, and General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sanjay Kamle, along with all district and assembly in-charges.

Detailed discussions were also held on the roadmap for district-level activities, future programmes, and plans for further organisational expansion.
