- Apollo SEZ launches AI-enabled mobile health unit
Bhopal: In a significant advancement for India’s healthcare system, Apollo SEZ Hospital in Bhopal has launched the nation’s first AI-powered Pro Health Check on Wheels unit. This mobile health initiative is designed to reach rural and remote areas, providing access to essential diagnostic services that previously required hospital visits.
The “Health Check on Wheels” program is part of Apollo’s broader mission to extend healthcare beyond urban centers. The fully equipped mobile unit allows patients to undergo tests for heart, kidney, liver functions, blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes without the hassle of hospital visits. It eliminates long queues, simplifies procedures, and offers accurate, on-the-spot results.
Advanced features inside the bus
The mobile unit, called “PRO Health Can,” includes advanced facilities such as: mammograms, ECG and TMT (treadmill test), blood tests, audiometry, x-rays and ultrasound, eye exams and vital checks.
An integrated AI system analyzes diagnostic reports to predict potential health issues, providing real-time alerts and early intervention opportunities.
A lifeline for rural India
With limited access to doctors and testing facilities in rural areas, this mobile AI unit fills a crucial gap. Experts believe such initiatives can transform rural healthcare by making it affordable, accessible, and proactive. This marks a new chapter in tech-driven, inclusive healthcare for India.
