Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Incharge, Mukesh Nayak, on Saturday accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government of shielding those responsible for the recent child deaths linked to cough syrup consumption. Nayak claimed that no post-mortem examinations were conducted on the deceased children, suggesting deliberate negligence. He alleged that this omission clearly indicated an attempt to protect the pharmaceutical company behind the syrup. Questioning the government’s silence, Nayak demanded accountability and transparency, stating that the tragedy could not be dismissed without a proper investigation. He further urged immediate action against officials who failed to uphold their duty, warning that justice must be delivered to the grieving families.
