Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal, celebrated the festival of Vijayadashami with great fervour at its Dussehra ground, emphasising the triumph of truth and righteousness.
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager & Unit Head, BHEL, Bhopal, said Vijayadashami symbolises valour, the victory of good over evil, and truth over falsehood. Extending greetings, he urged all to uphold truth and integrity under all circumstances.
Prominent dignitaries present included Rosy Upadhyay, President, BHEL Ladies Club; T.U. Singh, General Manager (HR) & Patron of the Dussehra Committee; General Managers; Prashant Pathak, President, BHEL Dussehra Mahotsav Committee; and Sameer Paul, Secretary. Representatives of trade unions, employees, and township residents also attended.
Upadhyay highlighted that Dussehra is one of BHEL’s most prestigious cultural events, reflecting India’s age-old mantra “Satyameva Jayate”. Citing the example of Goddess Durga vanquishing Mahishasura, he reminded the audience that courage, duty, and righteousness always prevail over darkness and ego.
Reviewing the fiscal year, he called on employees to pursue organisational goals with dedication and safety. Concluding, he wished everyone a joyous Dussehra, urging them to follow the path of Dharma and truth in all endeavours.
