Congress questions CM over child deaths

By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Incharge Mukesh Nayak on Friday accused Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of shielding those responsible for the tragic death of children in Indore hospital. Speaking to the media, Nayak alleged that instead of taking strict action against negligent officials, the Chief Minister had effectively given them a “clean chit.”

He further raised concerns over another recent tragedy in Chhindwara, where eight children reportedly died after consuming contaminated cough syrup. Nayak demanded accountability and transparency from the government, asking why no action had been taken against the company and officials linked to the incident.

“The lives of innocent children are at stake, yet the BJP government appears more concerned about protecting wrongdoers than delivering justice,” he said. The Congress has called for an independent probe into both cases, urging the Chief Minister to prioritise public safety over political convenience.
