Bhopal: After the recent controversy over “I Love Muhammad” posters in Ujjain, a new poster featuring Congress spokesperson Praveen Dholpure has stirred political discussion across Madhya Pradesh.
The poster, now circulating in the media, carries the theme: “I Love India, I Love Rahul Gandhi, Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan.” Its release has once again brought constitutional rights and political symbolism into the spotlight.
Speaking to this correspondent, Dholpure defended the message behind the poster, stating that Rahul Gandhi is depicted holding the Constitution “to save it.” He highlighted Article 25, describing it as the “beauty of the Constitution” as it guarantees every citizen the freedom to practise their religion.
“Rahul Gandhi represents the voice of farmers, the poor and the deprived sections of society,” Dholpure said, positioning the Congress leader as a defender of democratic and social justice values.
Political observers note that the poster controversy mirrors the growing trend of competing narratives in the state’s political sphere, where religious and constitutional themes are increasingly invoked. With elections on the horizon, such symbolic displays are likely to intensify debate across party lines.
