Grand painting competition held at IGRMS

  • Young and senior artists contribute to nation-building: MP Alok Sharma

Bhopal: A grand painting competition was held today at the Indira Gandhi National Anthropological Museum, Bhopal, on the theme “Colors of a Developed India, with Art.” The event aimed not only to depict India’s development journey through art but also to set a world record through nationwide participation.

More than 800 artists from across the country took part, portraying visions of a developed India, its progress, and rich cultural heritage. The venue became a vibrant confluence of colors, creativity, and imagination, leaving the audience mesmerized.

MP of Bhopal, Alok Sharma, graced the occasion as chief guest and was warmly welcomed by Museum Director Prof. Amitabh Pandey. Sharma said young and senior artists contribute to nation-building.

Esteemed guests included Padma Shri awardee Durga Bai Vyam, Vidya Rakesh (Director, NID Bhopal), Yusuf Ji, Venkat Singh Shyam, Dr. Anand Kanti Biswas, and Prof. Mohammad Rizwan Ahmed, among others.

Prof. Pandey emphasized that India’s artistic traditions are a unique identity on the global stage and that this event preserves and celebrates the nation’s journey through art.
