Tableau of Kaal Bhairavi Temple is a central focal point of attraction

Bhopal: Navratri celebrations in Bhopal reached a high point with a stunning blend of tradition and grandeur at two major events.

The Garba Mahotsav’s third night officially started at 9 PM with the arrival of Councillor Pappu Yadav. The highlight was the ‘Punjabi Patiala’ theme, where men joined women in traditional Patiala suits, elevating the elegance of the Gujarati Garba dance.

Meanwhile, the annual tableau at the Kaal Bhairavi Temple, Kotra Sultanabad, captivated devotees. Running for 26 years without a formal committee, this spectacular display is funded purely by the community’s devotion.

This year’s exhibit features a vibrant journey: starting with Shiv and Ganesh Temples, moving through a live Samudra Manthan (Ocean Churning) scene, and offering a choice between a mesmerizing globe light area or a thrilling horror house. The journey concludes at Maa Bhavani’s divine court, which beautifully showcases Madhya Pradesh’s landmarks like the Bhojpur and Mahakaleshwar Temples using special lighting effects.

A dedicated selfie point is also drawing crowds, making the magnificent tableau a joyful and spiritual experience for all.

The estimated expenditure for this year’s tableau stands at approximately Rs 55 Lakh. The exterior framework of the display has been meticulously crafted to resemble the formidable fortresses of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, aiming to evoke a profound sense of historical grandeur for all spectators. Upon entering the structure, visitors are immediately greeted by an internal design that mimics the appearance of a subterranean cavern or grotto.
