BMHRC takes steps for health and well-being of nursing students

Bhopal: Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of its nursing college students by providing regular health checkups and improved facilities. According to a press statement, over the past two days, students were screened for conditions such as jaundice and anemia, continuing the hospital’s ongoing health monitoring efforts. Free treatment is being provided to all students, and individual medical records have been created to avoid any inconvenience.

The drinking water at the nursing hostel is the same as that supplied to the BMHRC residential complex, where no complaints or illnesses have been reported. Nonetheless, for added safety, an RO water purifier has been installed in the hostel, with three more to follow. A sanitation checklist has been implemented, and dining services may soon be improved through a cooperative mess system.

Students have also been briefed on leave policies as per Indian Nursing Council guidelines.

BMHRC has clarified that recent viral videos alleging widespread illness are false and misleading. An inquiry committee will be formed after Director-in-Charge Dr. Manisha Srivastava returns from an official visit.
