BMHRC holds Cancer screenings for women

Bhopal: As part of the ongoing “Seva Pakhwada” (Service Fortnight) campaign, the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) organized a special cancer screening camp for women. On the seventh day of the initiative, doctors provided free consultations and screenings for over 45 women, checking for breast, oral, and cervical cancers.

Experts at the camp also educated attendees on the early symptoms, diagnosis, and prevention of these diseases. Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director-in-Charge of BMHRC, said the campaign is a holistic effort that includes screenings, counseling, and awareness programs to benefit the public.

Ayurveda and yoga promote healthy living

In addition to the cancer screenings, the hospital’s eight health centers hosted awareness sessions on the benefits of holistic health. Specialists promoted Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, and other traditional health practices. Patients were advised to incorporate practices like meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), and naturopathy into their daily routines for a healthier lifestyle. The camp underscores the hospital’s commitment to not only treating illness but also promoting preventive healthcare across the community.
