Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Tuesday observed the death anniversvary of former Deputy Chief Minister and social worker Jamuna Devi at the state party headquarters.
Senior leaders and workers offered floral tributes, recalling her lifelong commitment to social service, particularly tribal welfare and women’s empowerment. Speakers said her sacrifice, simplicity and struggles remain an inspiration for generations.
Among those present were former minister P.C. Sharma, District Congress Committee president Praveen Saxena, NSUI executive president Abhishek Sharma, state secretary Vijay Sarvaiya, spokespersons Bhupendra Gupta and Abhinav Barolia, senior leader Anand Taran, along with Hakim Singh Raghuvanshi, Anurag Lodhi, Muzaffar Ali and Bhagirath Pansaria.
The Congress family pledged to carry forward her ideals and work for the upliftment of all sections of society. Leaders emphasised that Jamuna Devi’s legacy of service and dedication will continue to guide the party’s social and political commitment in Madhya Pradesh.
