Western Central Railway GM inspects upgrades at Bina Junction

Bina: Western Central Railway General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay conducted a detailed inspection of the Bina-Aghasod rail section on Monday, focusing on the progress of the third railway line project. The expansion is designed to streamline the movement of both passenger and freight trains, enhancing connectivity and efficiency.

Accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi and other senior officials, Bandopadhyay meticulously reviewed the new track layout, signaling systems, and other infrastructure, prioritizing safety during the complex yard remodeling work. She held a meeting with various department heads to ensure a seamless execution of the project.

Beyond the major infrastructure upgrades, the GM also inspected passenger amenities at Bina station. She checked the cleanliness of the circulating area, the functionality of the booking counters and automated ticket machines, and the quality of services at food stalls and the “Pay & Use” toilets. She also met with local MLA Nirmala Sapre, who provided suggestions for improving passenger facilities.

During a press briefing, Bandopadhyay shared details about the ongoing redevelopment work and addressed concerns from local merchants and union officials, promising swift action on their issues. This hands-on inspection underscores the railway’s commitment to both large-scale infrastructure development and the everyday convenience of its passengers.
