New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) In a major step towards operational readiness, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been officially inducted as the aviation security agency for Noida International Airport, Jewar.
With this development, the upcoming greenfield airport becomes the 70th airport in India to be brought under the security cover of the CISF, an official said here.
A total of 1,047 CISF personnel will be deployed in the initial phase to handle a wide array of security responsibilities. These include perimeter surveillance, passenger and baggage screening, terminal safety and rapid response operations.
CISF officials are committed to implementing globally benchmarked security measures, ensuring a safe and seamless passenger experience.
