New Delhi, Sept 19 (UNI) Wayanad MP and Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today urged everyone to join the ‘vote chori signature’ campaign.
In a video message posted on her social media handle, Priyanka emphasised the significance of every signature stating that each one is as important as every vote.
Speaking on the campaign, Priyanka Gandhi highlighted the fight to protect the fundamental democratic principle of “one man, one vote.” She emphasized that the campaign was not only about safeguarding voting rights but also about defending the cherished constitutional values that uphold India’s vibrant democracy.
“I urge all citizens to come forward and support the ‘Vote Chori Signature’ campaign. Just as every vote counts, every signature counts. Your voice up for democracy and constitutional values is vital in this fight to protect our Constitution,” she said.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi yesterday alleged a “targeted deletion” of voters, mainly in 10 Congress booths in Aland constituency of Karnataka. He claimed that it was not a coincidence but a deliberate and well-planned strategy to target the Congress supporters and accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of protecting those who are destroying democracy.
