New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Bhutan’s PM Tshering Tobgay, Myanmar’s Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama extended their greetings to PM Modi on his 75th birthday today.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, posted a photograph of the two leaders together, highlighting their warm personal equation.
She wrote on X:
“Happy 75th birthday to the Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi.
“His strength, his determination, and his ability to lead millions of people are a source of inspiration.
“With friendship and esteem, I wish him health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future and to further strengthen the relations between our Nations.”
Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay in his message wished health and happiness to the Indian PM.
“Warm birthday wishes to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi. Wishing you good health and long life. Grateful for your leadership and the special friendship between Bhutan and India.
He posted a photo of PM Modi, with a text overlay, that read: “Warm birthday greetings to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. On this special day, we join the people of India in wishing you good health and long life. May the special friendship between Bhutan and India grow even stronger under your leadership.”
Myanmar’s leader, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, in a long video message praised PM Modi for strengthening the bilateral ties and for taking India to new heights.
“Excellency PM Modi, Mingalabar, Namaste! On the special occasion of your 75th birthday I wish to extend my warmest wishes for your good health and success in all your endeavours. Excellency it is truly commendable that since the time of your assumption of national responsibilities, you have devoted for improving the socio economic conditions of the people, for elevating India to unprecedented heights of global stature and for building a more united India.
“India and Myanmar are not only neighbours but also nations with a shared history spanning more than thousands of years. Our friendly relationship exists not only between the two governments, but also between our two peoples. Excellency, I noted with great appreciation the understanding and consistent support you and the people of India have shown during our country’s political transitions and during the time of natural disaster relief efforts. These represent an invaluable spirit of good neighbourliness. I once again offer my prayers on your 75th birthday. May you enjoy good health and happiness over a hundred years to come, and continue working for the benefit of India. May you and the people of India joyfully build a prosperous, developed, and thriving great India. May all your benevolent wishes and aspirations be fulfilled.”
The Dalai Lama, in his message, offered heartfelt birthday greetings to PM Modi and wished him continued good health.
“As India’s longest staying guest”, he wrote, “I have witnessed firsthand the far-reaching development and prosperity that have taken place over the years. I congratulate you on the growing confidence and strength that has occurred in recent times.
“India’s success also contributes to global development. “I consider myself a proud messenger of India, and regularly express my admiration for India, the world’s most populous and largest democracy, for its remarkable and deeply rooted religious pluralism. India presents an example of harmony and stability to the world.
“For us Tibetans India has not only been the source of our spiritual heritage, but for more than sixty-six years, has also been our physical home. I would like to once again extend our deep gratitude to the Government and people of India for their warm and generous hospitality.”
The Dalai Lama concluded by offering his prayers and good wishes.
