Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has finalised the Ministers-in-Waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s one-day visit to the state on 17 September. These ministers will be responsible for formally receiving and bidding farewell to the Prime Minister at designated venues.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat has been assigned to welcome Prime Minister Modi at Indore. He will also be present during the Prime Minister’s departure from the city. Meanwhile, Urban Development and Housing Minister as well as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will carry out similar duties at Badnawar in Dhar district. Vijayvargiya will receive the Prime Minister upon his arrival and also see him off from the helipad.
The state administration has made elaborate arrangements for the high-profile visit, which is expected to include key public engagements and government programmes. Security protocols and coordination between local officials and central agencies are being given top priority.
The visit comes at a time when Madhya Pradesh is witnessing heightened political activity ahead of forthcoming events and projects. The designated roles of Silawat and Vijayvargiya reflect the state’s protocol practices to ensure smooth facilitation during the Prime Minister’s schedule.
