New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court will pronounce its judgement in Parul Khera Vs union of India, which challenges various provisions of the Waqf Act, 1995, and certain provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025.
The petition alleges discrimination against other religious communities and seeks equal status and safeguards for the properties of Hindus and other non-Islamic communities.
A separate plea filed by Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Arif Masood is also listed for judgement. Masood has sought directions for the repeal of the Waqf Amendment Act.
