Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal, successfully organised its 10th Gyan Aarjan Saptah from 5th to 11th September 2025 under the theme “Collaboration for Execution and Diversification.” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, officers and trainees, and concluded in the presence of Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Unit Head, along with keynote speaker Dr Sudhir Mishra, DRDO Chair (Emeritus).
Addressing the gathering, Upadhyay emphasised that learning is a continuous process and expressed confidence that BHEL would continue to set benchmarks in nation building. He termed the week-long programme as a testimony to the HRD team’s vision and commitment.
Dr Mishra spoke on “Strategic Orientation and Planning, Identification and Analysis of Opportunities,” highlighting India’s achievements in defence technology, including the design engineering challenges of Sukhoi-30, integration of the BrahMos missile and its critical role in Operation Sindoor. He noted that India’s defence capabilities are globally recognised, attracting interest for international collaborations and joint ventures.
Throughout the week, several activities were organised, including customer training for ONGC, multi-skilling workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, a quiz competition, and expert lectures on subjects such as machine learning, 3D printing, welding technology and leadership.
Winners of the Business Writing, Quiz, Knowledge Sharing and 3D Printing competitions were felicitated at the closing ceremony. The HRD team, led by T U Singh and Surekha Banchhor, with coordination by Umesh Kumar Savle and Tarun Kumar Kaushik, ensured the successful execution of the programme.
