Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a video allegedly involving a BJP Yuva Morcha leader in objectionable conduct went viral.
Madhya Pradesh Congress media department chairman, Mukesh Nayak, said the incident had exposed the “true face” of the BJP. “This is the same party that never misses a chance to preach about values and women’s dignity. Yet their own leaders are caught engaging in shameful behaviour,” he remarked.
According to sources, BJP Yuva Morcha general secretary Jeet Nishode was seen in a compromising situation with a female friend in the video. The controversy quickly tarnished the party’s image, prompting the BJP to remove him from both his post and the party’s primary membership.
Nayak accused the BJP of hypocrisy, recalling that when Congress state president Jitu Patwari raised concerns over women’s safety and drug abuse, BJP leaders had criticised him. “Now their own leaders are bringing disgrace to women,” he said, questioning whether Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the BJP leadership would go beyond token disciplinary action.
The Congress reiterated its commitment to women’s dignity, warning it would continue to expose the BJP’s “double standards and moral decline” before the public.
