New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today chaired a consultation workshop here, focusing on innovative policy interventions for sustainable National Highway (NH) development in urban areas.
The discussions centred on strategies to decongest urban National Highways by constructing ring roads and bypasses, adopting value capture financing models, and ensuring alignment with city master plans, Gadkari said on X.
The objective is to promote planned and regulated development in the influence zones of ring roads, ease congestion, and enhance connectivity in line with our commitment to sustainable and future-ready infrastructure.
The workshop was attended by union Ministers of State Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra, along with senior officials from state government and Municipal Commissioners.
