- Three-day Sports Festival concludes
Bhopal: The three-day Sports Festival organized under National Sports Day concluded on Sunday with Fit India Cycle Rally and Water Sports Show in the capital Bhopal. The cycle rally was led by Cooperatives, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang.
The cycle rally organized under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Sports Authority of India Bhopal branch started from Raja Bhoj statue located on VIP Road, in which thousands of cyclists participated enthusiastically. The rally reached Water Sports Academy located at Lake View via VIP Road. The message of fitness, environmental protection and discipline was conveyed to the people throughout the route.
Sarang said that the “Sunday on Cycle” program has taken the message of fitness forward. He said that during this three-day sports festival, the entire state became sporty and the capital Bhopal has given the message of a healthy lifestyle to the entire country through this event. Sarang congratulated the Cycle Rider Association and said that cycling is not just an exercise, but it is a means of bringing discipline and balance in our lifestyle. We will make meaningful efforts to promote cycling further in the state.\
Water sports activities organized
On the conclusion of the cycle rally, grand water sports activities were organized at the Water Sports Academy. Here the players gave a thrilling display of their sports skills in the Upper Lake. Competitions like kayaking, canoeing, slalom and sailing mesmerized the audience. The brilliant performance of the players made the conclusion of the sports festival in the capital memorable and this event will remain in the memories of sports lovers for a long time.
