- Questions BJP Government on Law and Order
By Special Correspondent
Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Sunday strongly condemned the reported attack on State Congress President during a rally in Ratlam, holding the ruling BJP government responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
State Congress Media Department Chairman, Dr Mukesh Nayak, said the incident reflected the desperation of the BJP, which has failed to answer the pressing questions of the common man. He alleged that the Mohan Yadav-led government has lost control over law and order and accused it of attempting to silence opposition voices through intimidation.
State Congress spokesperson Shaheryar Khan declared that the party would not remain idle in the face of such attacks and warned that the BJP would have to face political consequences. He stressed that the incident was not just an attack on an individual but a threat to democratic values.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Vivek Tripathi demanded that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav immediately order the arrest of all culprits involved in the attack. He stated that such incidents tarnish the image of Madhya Pradesh and raise serious concerns about citizens’ safety.
The Congress has announced that it will raise the matter strongly at both political and administrative levels.
