Thiruvananthapuram, (UNI) The Kerala government will organise a series of 33 state-level seminars in October this year as part of the ‘Vision 2031’ initiative, which seeks to chart the State’s developmental roadmap for the next six years.
Announcing the initiative, the seminars will focus on how Kerala should evolve by 2031 and the structural changes required across key sectors. Each seminar will be led by Ministers and cover a wide spectrum of themes, including infrastructure development, health care, education, welfare, renewable energy, digital innovation, tourism and sustainable agriculture.
The State is entering a decisive phase of development. These seminars will serve as a platform to consolidate expert opinion and public feedback to shape a long-term strategy, sources said.
The deliberations are expected to involve subject experts, policymakers, industry leaders, academics and civil society representatives. Their recommendations will form the basis of a comprehensive policy document guiding Kerala’s development agenda through the next decade.
The ‘Vision 2031’ framework is envisaged as a people-centric roadmap aligning social welfare priorities with economic growth, technological progress and environmental sustainability.
