Bhopal: A 24-year-old man from Guna district, identified as Sunil Gurjar, tragically died after experiencing a medical emergency during the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) physical efficiency test.
The incident occurred on August 23 at the CISF ground in Govindpura. After completing his running portion of the test, Gurjar sat down and complained to officials of severe chest pain and dizziness. CISF staff immediately arranged for an ambulance to take him to Kasturba Hospital.
From there, his brother, Rahul Gurjar, moved him to Sagar Multispecialist Hospital in Misrod for further treatment. Despite medical efforts, Sunil Gurjar passed away later that night while undergoing treatment.
Authorities have registered a case and handed over the body to his family after a post-mortem examination. The tragic death of the aspiring recruit has cast a pall of grief over the ongoing recruitment drive, raising questions about the safety measures in place for such rigorous physical tests.
