Bhopal: Five vigilant railway employees were recently honored with the Safety Award for their quick thinking and dedication, which averted several potential accidents. The awards, which included a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize, were presented at a ceremony at the divisional office.
Honoring Vigilance and Dedication
The honored employees were three pointsmen—Shashi Kumar, Junaid Khan, and Manoj Lodhi—along with Train Manager Abhishek Parsai and Track Maintainer Bhagwan Das Rai. Their exceptional alertness during their duties not only ensured the safety of countless passengers but also protected valuable railway property.
Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi praised the staff’s dedication and commitment. “The enthusiasm, alertness, and devotion of our employees are commendable,” he stated, encouraging them to continue their excellent work. The senior divisional commercial manager, Saurabh Kataria, emphasized that passenger safety is the highest priority and that the railways are continuously providing training and resources to their staff to uphold this standard.
The ceremony was attended by other senior officials, including Senior Divisional Safety Officer Vijay Shankar Gautam and Senior Divisional Engineer Ritu Raj Sharma, who also commended the employees for their outstanding service.
